介绍:Welcome to East Wenatchee . . . the "landing spot" of the first non-stop, trans-Pacific flight, where Clyde Pangborn and Hugh Herndon belly-landed the Miss Veedol on October 5, 1931, after a forty-one hour flight from Misawa, Japan.

A community with that "home-town" atmosphere, East Wenatchee is the population hub of Douglas County, and the home of the approximately 11,500 year old Clovis Point Cache, the Les Schwab Classy Chassis Parade & Car Show, the Wings & Wheels Festival (commemorating the famous flight), the Eastmont Wildcats, the Barracuda Swim Team, and North Central Washington's largest mall.

Located on the banks of the Columbia River, East Wenatchee receives over 300 days of sunshine each year. This makes East Wenatchee a popular spot for boating, water skiing, jet skiing and swimming. Other recreational opportunities in the area include golf, tennis, softball, volleyball, soccer, bowling, and walking, jogging, rollerblading or bicycling the 11-mile Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail. For winter sports enthusiasts, skiing and snowboarding is only twelve miles away at Mission Ridge.

East Wenatchee also offers a variety of shopping experiences, ranging from the Wenatchee Valley Mall in downtown, to discount stores and specialty shops.

In addition, the East Wenatchee area also has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from -- everything from fast food chains to its own unique home-owned restaurants.
